Azerbaijan's Aliyev Proposes Expansion of Italian Companies
In a statement to the press alongside Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ilham Aliyev announced a desire to increase the number of Italian companies operating in Azerbaijan, currently around 130.
According to Aliyev, Italy occupies a leading position among foreign companies in implementing these projects. The Azerbaijani president highlighted the promising potential for new areas of cooperation, specifically in military-technical collaboration, which was also discussed during the meeting.
"We have concrete ideas for the implementation of joint projects and the organization of joint production, combining Italian technologies with Azerbaijani financial resources. This was also discussed in detail," said Aliyev.
