Withdrawal of U.S. Troops from Germany is Disastrous, Tusk Says
According to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the decision to withdraw 5,000 U.S. troops from Germany is a dangerous and disastrous trend. Earlier, the Pentagon announced that the United States plans to withdraw 5,000 soldiers from Germany within the next 6-12 months.
“The greatest danger to the transatlantic community does not come from its external enemies but from the ongoing erosion of our alliance. We all must do everything possible to reverse this disastrous trend,” Tusk wrote on his X platform account.
It should be noted that NATO's largest troop contingent is stationed in Germany, where more than 36,000 American service members and approximately 1,500 reservists are currently located.
