VIDEO. Kids Are So Confined to the Village That They Can't Cope in the Army, Says Nikol Pashinyan
During a meeting in the mountainous region, residents expressed their dissatisfaction to Nikol Pashinyan about the closure of the village school, which requires children to attend a new educational complex being built in the neighboring Amberd. According to Pashinyan, the aim of the project is to create more comfortable conditions for children.
“What kind of thinking is this, that we shouldn't let our child go beyond the house, oh no, the child shouldn't leave the village? But when the child turns 18, will they stay in the village? We don't let children go beyond the square of the village, and then they go to the army and can't cope. These kids haven't had more than four people in their social environment throughout their life. A child who graduated from a class of 20 faces problems when they go to the army, and a child who studied and graduated in a class of 20 faces problems working in a collective of 50. We cannot keep children fenced in,” Pashinyan responded.
