Iran Wants Peace, But Only Under One Condition: Araqchi
Tehran is ready to discuss proposals from mediator countries regarding a ceasefire if they include compensation for Iran's damages, said Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
“Many friendly countries have offered ideas and expressed their willingness to play a role in achieving peace. If there is a proposal to cease hostilities that meets our conditions… and compensates for Iran's losses, then we will certainly listen to it,” the Iranian diplomat stated in an interview with Al Jazeera.
Araqchi noted that Tehran has already communicated its stance to “its friends” and emphasized that the country has not yet agreed to a ceasefire.
