There Is No Agenda to Hand Over HETC to Turkish Companies - Mesropyan
The "Armenian Electric Networks" company has no agenda to hand over control to Turkish companies, even on a theoretical level. This was stated by the president of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) Mesrop Mesropyan during a press conference while responding to a question about whether the management of the electric networks could, at least theoretically, be transferred to a Turkish company.
Mesropyan noted that such claims are voiced by opponents but lack any objective basis. “It was even declared that last year, three high-ranking employees of the commission supposedly went to Turkey to negotiate and sell HETC to Turkish companies, which would be laughable if the thought were not so sad. There is no such agenda. Therefore, at this moment, in tangible reality, I see no sign of selling HETC to any Turkish company,” he said.
It was previously reported that PSRC president Mesrop Mesropyan stated, “It is unacceptable that there be anarchy in the management of HETC.”
