President Pezeshkian on Nuclear Program Inspections and Regional Dialogue
The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has announced that Tehran is ready for any inspections to prove that its nuclear program is not aimed at weapon development. He claims that Iran has repeatedly stated it does not seek to create nuclear weapons and maintains a transparent and sincere stance on this issue.
Pezeshkian noted that the atmosphere of distrust created by the United States and European countries hinders the effective conduct of negotiations regarding the nuclear program. According to him, it is difficult to achieve practical results under these conditions.
At the same time, the Iranian president emphasized that Tehran continues to engage in active dialogue with neighboring countries to ensure peace and stability in the region. He stressed that regional issues should be addressed with the participation of local states.
It is worth mentioning that indirect negotiations between the delegations of the U.S. and Iran have taken place in Muscat, the capital of Oman, regarding the nuclear program. President Donald Trump has stated that the meetings have been productive and will continue. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reiterated that Tehran insists on its right to enrich uranium.
