Timeline for Parliamentary Elections Campaign Announced
The Central Electoral Commission has approved the schedule for the preparation and conduct of the regular parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7, 2026. According to the CEC, the campaign period for the elections is set from May 8 to June 5.
It is also noted that parties and party alliances wishing to participate in the elections must submit an electronic application to the Central Electoral Commission for obtaining a user account between February 9 and April 23.
Parties and party alliances must submit their registration documents to the Central Electoral Commission from April 13 to April 23. Registration of electoral lists for parties and party alliances will take place from April 23 to May 3, until 18:00.
Sequential numbers for parties and party alliances participating in the elections will be allocated by the Central Electoral Commission through a lottery until May 3.
During the campaign period, information regarding the number, areas, locations, and rents of billboards exceeding 5 square meters allocated to the parties (party alliances) will be submitted to the CEC by February 17.
For the voting day, applications for accreditation and a list of representatives from the mass media for the coverage of the elections and voting must be submitted to the CEC from February 7 to May 28.
Applications for accreditation of observers through the CEC's website must be submitted from February 7 to May 3.
Candidates for deputies included in the electoral lists of parties and party alliances must submit their asset and income declarations to the CEC by May 13. Political parties and alliances must also submit their declaration on their assets and income to the CEC by May 13.
