Mixed Rain, Blizzard, Dense Fog: Current Situation on Highways

As of February 9 at 16:20, all inter-state and republican highways in Armenia are open. Organizations responsible for road maintenance continue to work on clearing the roads and treating them with salt and sand. This has been reported by the Road Department.

The Noravan-Ltsen-Tatev highway and the Vardenyats Pass are difficult to traverse for vehicles with trailers, requiring the use of snow chains. Snow is falling in the Megrou Pass, while mixed rain is reported in the regions of Gavar and Vardenis. Dense fog is present on the highways in the Hrazdan region, with visibility reduced to 15-20 meters. In the regions of Aparan and Sevan, fog is also present, leading to visibility of 50-80 meters.
