Kristine Poghosyan on Brother's Controversial Post About Chapels
"He is an unbeliever—an atheist, while I am a believer. My 40-year-old brother does not need to ask for my permission to express his thoughts," said Kristine Poghosyan, a member of the Civil Contract party, during a conversation with reporters.
"Since I am not a user of social media, I do not know what my brother writes. Do your siblings ask you before posting anything online? True, I am a public figure, but we live in a free country," she added.
When asked if she shares her brother's opinion, Poghosyan responded that she may disagree with many people, and if they were politicians, she could argue with them. However, regarding her brother, she stated, "If it concerns my brother, he is a free man, not affiliated with a party, holds no position, nor has any influence in politics; he has an opinion and expressed it. I support my brother in everything, but not in expressing his opinions, as we are very different people; he has a different worldview and mindset, while I have another."
It is noteworthy that Kristine Poghosyan's brother had made a statement yesterday suggesting that chapels and prayer places should be removed from hospitals and healthcare institutions.
