Iran Refuses to Halt Uranium Enrichment
During a meeting in Oman, Tehran confirmed that it would not agree to halt or move the enrichment of nuclear fuel outside the country's borders, which was a key demand from Washington. At the same time, the Iranian side expressed its willingness to continue dialogue and agreed to new contacts mediated by Oman.
According to the publication, the positions of both sides have remained virtually unchanged, and significant disagreements persist on key issues. This meeting was the first in the negotiation process after a months-long hiatus, which had arisen due to the Iran-Israel conflict in June 2025 (prior to that, Iran and the U.S. had conducted five rounds of consultations).
