Court Rejects Recusal Motion in Mikayel Srabazans Case
The recusal motion for presiding judge Edgar Manasyan in the Mikayel Srabazan case was heard at the Court of Appeal.
Defense attorney Ara Zohrapyan stated that the reason for the recusal is the friendly relationship between the judge and prosecutor Vahan Harutyunyan involved in the case. Zohrapyan added that the defense team also has reservations regarding the other judge, Vache Margaryan, but they are not submitting a recusal motion against him, as approval of the presiding judge's recusal would require a complete change of the judges.
The court rejected the motion. Thus, the appeal of Mikayel Srabazan will be considered by judges Vache Margaryan, Narine Hovakimyan, and presiding judge Edgar Manasyan.
Previously, we reported that a Divine Liturgy was held at a Medical Center, attended by Mikayel Srabazan.
