Citizens to be Provided with Electronic Cash Register Receipts for Medical Services
From now on, citizens will receive an electronic cash register receipt when utilizing all medical services. All information will be aggregated into the ARMED software system, resulting in a unified information system. This was stated by MP Tsovinar Vardanyan during a session of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.
The proposal suggests amending Article 380.1 of the Tax Code of Armenia, which would make it mandatory for organizations and individual entrepreneurs providing medical assistance and services to use electronic cash register machines. If the payment is made using payment tools based on payment technologies, then having an electronic cash register machine will become compulsory.
“An electronic receipt generated by the electronic cash register machine will be issued for the payment made for services rendered, which the citizen can receive through the electronic healthcare system application,” Vardanyan elaborated.
It is also proposed that each provided service during the delivery of medical assistance and services will have a personalized identification code generated by the electronic health system printed on the tax invoice and cash register receipt.
“The code will show which services the citizen has used and how much they paid for the service. This is also a monitoring tool,” emphasized the primary reporter.
Hamlet Sahakyan, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, noted that the Government has given a positive conclusion to the proposal. He presented various technical and editorial suggestions. The proposal has received a positive conclusion.
