U.S. and Russian Representatives Achieve Effective Talks on Ukrainian Crisis

U.S. Special Representative Stephen Witkoff has announced that negotiations regarding the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis with Russian Special Representative and Executive Director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev in Miami have been effective. “Today in Florida, Russia's special representative Kirill Dmitriev held effective and constructive meetings within the framework of U.S. mediation efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian conflict,” Witkoff wrote.

The American delegation also included Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen, the American leader’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Senior Advisor to the White House Josh Gruenbaum, along with the Commissioner's Office of Federal Procurement Services of the General Services Administration.

“We are encouraged by this meeting and the fact that Russia is working towards ensuring peace in Ukraine,” Witkoff noted. Dmitriev, for his part, described the discussions as effective.
