Record High Gold Prices
In Japan, the price of gold has reached a new record high of 32,248 yen per gram (approximately $210 at current exchange rates), marking the second consecutive day of setting historical peaks. This data comes from Tanaka Kikinzoku, a leading precious metals dealer in the country.
For the first time in history, the price of gold in Japan has surpassed the 30,000 yen mark.
Local analysts assess that investor interest in gold continues to grow, fueled by concerns over potential reductions in the independence of the U.S. Federal Reserve. The Fed's leadership is facing severe criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump, amid which investors view gold as a reliable asset.
It is worth noting that worldwide gold prices have also continued to rise, exceeding $5,000 per troy ounce (31.1 g) for the first time, reflecting an increase of about 16% since the beginning of the year.
