Snow Cover Elevation in Mountainous Regions as of Today
As of January 21, 2026, the snow cover elevation in the mountainous regions of the republic is 60-80 cm higher compared to the same day in 2025, which will have a positive impact on the spring filling of reservoirs. This was reported on Facebook by Levon Azizyan, the director of the State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center.
It is also noted that there is expected to be dry weather in the territory of the republic during the day on January 21. The wind will be from the north at 2-5 m/s, with a potential intensification of wind expected in certain areas on January 23-24, reaching 15-18 m/s.
The air temperature is expected to gradually decrease by 7-10 degrees Celsius during the nighttime hours of January 21-22, and then gradually rise by the same amount during the nighttime hours of January 23-24.
