Pashinyan Currently Leads in Public Polls, Says Fidan

TRIPP is significant in terms of connecting Nakhchivan with the main territory of Azerbaijan. Moreover, within the context of the Middle Corridor, it is also important that Turkey is directly opening up to the Turkic world and Central Asia through this route. All these are beneficial directions, and intensive work is being done around them. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Speaking about the document recently signed by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Fidan said, “They refer to the area called the 'Zangezur Corridor' as TRIPP and are discussing how to bring it to life.”

“Currently, there is a political will at the leadership level in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey. However, there are several steps that Armenia needs to take. As you know, elections are expected in Armenia at the beginning of June, which is also an important phase. However, we see that Prime Minister Pashinyan is currently leading in public polls,” said the Turkish foreign minister.
