We Are Confident It Will Be Great for Armenia: Rubio
Today we will be signing, or rather, continuing to work on the implementation of the TRIPP project, which we believe is a great example of cooperation. This was announced by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio ahead of a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Washington.
“It opens Armenia to business, allows for economic prosperity, and in no way infringes upon Armenia's sovereignty. This is a great example of cooperation. It also serves as a continuous means of building our bilateral relations between our countries, which are very strong and continue to be reinforced through these agreements, outside of the trilateral arrangement. We believe that the trilateral arrangement will truly become an example for the world on how to open up economic activity and prosperity without in any way questioning or undermining sovereignty and territorial integrity. We are confident that it will be great for Armenia, great for the United States, great for all parties involved, but ultimately, it will serve as an example for the world. We are committed, and today we are taking important steps to move in this direction,” he stated.
Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that on January 13-14, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan will be on a working visit to the U.S. A meeting with Rubio is planned, along with a joint statement regarding the implementation of TRIPP.
