After Ceasefire, Britain and France to Deploy Military Bases in Ukraine
After the ceasefire, Britain and France will deploy military bases throughout Ukraine and construct secure facilities for the storage of weapons and military equipment to meet Ukraine's defense needs. This was announced by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the 'Coalition of Volunteers' summit held in Paris.
“We have also agreed on significant steps with other coalition partners. First, we will participate in the ceasefire monitoring led by the United States. Second, we will support the long-term supply of weapons for Ukraine's defense. And third, we will work to commit to supporting Ukraine in the event of future armed attacks from Russia,” said Starmer at a press conference following the meeting.
It is noteworthy that at the 'Coalition of Volunteers' summit in Paris, Volodymyr Zelensky, Friedrich Merz, Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner signed a declaration on the deployment of multinational forces in Ukraine after the end of the war.
