No Elections Will Be Held in Venezuela, Trump Says
U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that elections will not take place in Venezuela within the next 30 days. “First, we need to establish order in the country. You cannot hold elections. People won't even be able to vote,” he stated.
According to Trump, it is essential to restore the country’s “health” before organizing elections in Venezuela, and this process will take some time. “We are at war with drug dealers,” the U.S. President added.
It is worth noting that Venezuela's Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has sworn in as the acting president of the country.
