Iran Is Not Planning to Sever Relations with Russia: Foreign Ministry
Iran is not planning to sever its relations with Russia under Western demands. This was announced by Esmail Baghaei, the official representative of the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, it is unreasonable and illogical to expect that countries with friendly and partner relationships with Russia should abandon those ties solely due to the demands of European countries.
“It is irrational to expect that any state that has established relations with Russia should sever them at Europe's request,” Baghaei emphasized.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry representative also noted that European countries should first reconsider their own behavior and analyze the causes of the conflict in Ukraine. In his view, it is necessary to take responsibility for one's own actions before criticizing others.
