Putin is Willing to Compromise: Details
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia is ready to make compromises for the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, as he stated during the Russia-US negotiations held in Anchorage.
“Before the negotiations, during preliminary meetings in Moscow, proposals were made to us, and we were asked to make certain compromises. When I arrived in Anchorage, I said that this would be a difficult decision for us, but we agree to the compromises proposed to us,” Putin said at a press conference today.
He emphasized that based on all of this, it is unjustifiable to accuse them of entirely rejecting the possibility of compromises.
“The ball is in our competitor's court, so to speak, in the field of the leaders of the Kyiv regime and, primarily, in the field of their European patrons,” added the Russian president.
It is worth noting that Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump held negotiations on August 15 at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base located in Anchorage, Alaska.
