From January 1, 2027, Single-Use Plastic Products Will Be Reduced in Armenia
From January 1, 2027, the use of single-use plastic products will be reduced in Armenia. This information was reported by the Ministry of Environment of Armenia.
“The presence of polyethylene bags and sacks will be prohibited, except for bags used for weighing and those designed for waste made from secondary raw materials. The use of disposable containers and utensils made from plastic or foam (plates, cups, spoons, forks, knives, straws for drinking and stirring) will also be prohibited. Alternatives include reusable bags made from paper, fabric, and other alternative materials, as well as utensils made of paper and wood, and containers made of paper or aluminum foil.
“Your choice has a significant impact. Replace plastic while preserving nature,” urges the Ministry of Environment.
