Russia Expands Its Disinformation Campaign in Armenia, Says Kaia Kallas

Russia is expanding its disinformation campaign in Armenia. This was stated by Kaia Kallas, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, during her speech at the extraordinary meeting of the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee.

“At the same time, we see that as the country approaches the EU, the pressure from harmful external influences increases. Russia and its proxies are ramping up disinformation campaigns, including in Armenia, ahead of next year’s elections. This year’s main target was Moldova, but it also became the best evidence that this threat can be overcome,” Kallas said.
