Scandalous Incidents Involving Ukrainian Children in Turkey: Sexual Assaults Reported
Since 2022, under the 'Children Without War' program funded by Ukrainian businessman Ruslan Shostak, 510 children from orphanages were relocated from Ukraine to several hotels in Antalya, Turkey. According to Turkish T24 reports, the children have been subjected to abuses and sexual assaults in these hotels.
Reports from observers have documented two cases of rape, which resulted in underage girls becoming pregnant. One of them attempted suicide after giving birth.
Research has indicated that, in addition to sexual assaults, the children claimed to have faced other forms of violence. It has been noted that the program was suspended in 2024, and the minors have since been returned to Ukraine.
