Electronic Displays to be Installed at Bus Stops in Yerevan
Up until the end of the year, electronic devices displaying bus and trolleybus schedules are set to be installed at 36 public transport stops in Yerevan. This was announced by the director of the Yerevan City Center for Management Technologies, Sargis Manukyan, during an operational meeting at the city hall.
Manukyan noted that passengers can currently access route searches and see the minutes until the arrival of transport via the 'Yandex' and '2GIS' platforms.
“Previously, six bus stops had been equipped with similar devices as a pilot project. For the expansion of the program, 30 additional units have already been imported, which are currently in the customs clearance phase. This will be followed by testing, installation, and commissioning,” said Manukyan.
He also addressed complaints regarding the accuracy of information displayed at bus stops, where discrepancies have occurred in some cases through the 'Yandex' platform. “At this moment, we are also conducting tests through another alternative platform, '2GIS', and will choose the best option, the most accurate one, which will be displayed,” Manukyan noted.
