The West Has Allowed Absolutely Shameful Situations, Lavrov Says

The West has allowed absolutely shameful situations during multilateral events, attempting to establish Russia's "isolation," which ultimately led to the West's own self-isolation. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during an interview at the "Tree of Wishes" event, as reported by TASS.

"Our diplomacy is actively developing towards those countries that we now refer to as the global majority—Asia, Africa, Latin America. The isolation claimed by the West is, in fact, the self-isolation of that same Western world. There have been quite shameful situations where, during international events like the 'G20,' they agreed not to approach Russian representatives. When they would see us in the corridors adjacent to the meeting rooms, they pretended to look the other way—mature individuals would flee," said the Russian Foreign Minister.
