Yermak Resigns One Day Before Trip to the U.S.
Andrey Yermak, the head of Volodymyr Zelensky's office, resigned one day before his scheduled visit to Miami for peace negotiations with U.S. President Donald Trump’s team, Axios reports, citing two Ukrainian officials.
Earlier, President Zelensky had signed a decree relieving Yermak from his duties. Additionally, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, announced that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) were conducting searches at Yermak's home in connection with a corruption scandal that erupted in Ukraine's energy sector.
