The United States has lost $1.5 trillion due to the government shutdown, stated President Donald Trump.
“The Democrats have cost our country $1.5 trillion with their latest actions to disgracefully shut it down,” he wrote on Truth Social. The White House leader added that the Democratic Party has put many people at risk and must now pay a fair price for that.
