Azerbaijan Tries to Justify Its Military Aggression, Says Khandanyan
Member of Parliament from the 'Civil Contract' faction, Sargis Khandanyan, stated that the negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan have been open and public over the last seven years.
Khandanyan noted that similar negotiations had been conducted in the past, yielding no significant results. “I wouldn't want to comment on the statements made by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, considering that the negotiations are known to everyone. Armenia had also stated in 2018 that Nagorno-Karabakh should be involved in the negotiations,” he mentioned.
Referring to the statements of Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov that Armenia's 'provocative actions' were the cause of large-scale operations, the MP said: “I disagree, as Armenia was trying to find peaceful solutions, but it was evident that Azerbaijan was preparing for war. The country preparing for war is now trying to justify its military aggression with various arguments,” said Sargis Khandanyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction.
