Welcoming the Return of 15 Armenian Prisoners and the Provision of Minefield Maps to Baku: OSCE Chairperson
The Chairperson of the OSCE, Sweden's Foreign Minister Ann Linde, has welcomed the return of 15 Armenian prisoners by Azerbaijan to Armenia, as well as Armenia's provision of minefield maps to Baku.
According to Armenpress, Ann Linde wrote about this on her Twitter microblog. “We welcome the additional release of 15 Armenian detainees by Azerbaijan and the publication of the minefield maps by Armenia. I highly appreciate the Russian mediation. I hope that the strengthening of trust can pave the way for a sustainable settlement under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,” noted the OSCE Chairperson.
On July 3, with Russian mediation, 15 Armenian prisoners captured by Azerbaijan returned to Armenia, and as a gesture of goodwill, the Armenian side provided Azerbaijan with maps of mined areas in the Fizuli and Zangezur regions.
