Lukashenko on the Border Situation with Lithuania
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has announced that Minsk is ready to open the border with Lithuania. The president emphasized that blame for border issues should not be placed on Belarus, as the country's authorities have not taken such steps.
According to Lukashenko, in recent days, Lithuanian officials have made statements indicating that the deterioration of the border situation is due to Belarus. However, he assured that the border guard service in Belarus continues to operate as usual.
He also highlighted that Minsk sees no reason for border closures or additional restrictions and is prepared to maintain bilateral communications with Lithuania.
