Russia Warns the European Union
In the event of potential seizure of Russian assets, the European Union will "feel Moscow's response." This statement was made by Alexander Grushko, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
The diplomat emphasized that Brussels and other European capitals, which actively support the de facto seizure of Russian assets, can be assured that Moscow has sufficient resources for an appropriate political and economic response. Consequently, Russia's response will be felt within the European Union.
The Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the consequences are guaranteed for those who initiate and participate in the seizures. He warned that public rejection of Russia's property rights would lead to a collapse of confidence in Europe’s financial sector and a significant outflow of capital.
