Peacekeepers Evacuate Over 3,100 People: Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Defense Ministry has reported on the situation created as a result of Azerbaijani military operations in Artsakh. Since the beginning of active hostilities, peacekeepers have evacuated more than 3,100 people from the Martakert, Martuni, and Askeran regions of Nagorno-Karabakh. Among those evacuated, 1,428 are children. All evacuees are currently with the peacekeeping contingent and are provided with rest and hot meals.
Military doctors have assisted 16 civilians. During the escorting of citizens, the peacekeepers' convoy came under fire. Continuous cooperation between the parties is maintained to prevent bloodshed and ensure security. The Russian Defense Ministry reports that, as of September 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM, no violations of the ceasefire regime have been recorded.
