‘It Gives Freedom to Russia’s Hands’ – Zakharova
Finland’s and Sweden's decision to abandon their stance of not joining military blocs under pressure from Washington is giving freedom to Russia's hands. This was stated on Tuesday by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a broadcast on the Solovyov LIVE television channel.
“What Finland and Sweden are doing now under pressure from Washington, and in fact not their peoples but their political forces, is giving freedom to Russia’s hands,” the diplomat said.
“Today, Washington, which is forcing these countries that had maintained a neutral policy for decades (not joining military blocs) to change their strategic direction through pressure, has given freedom to our hands,” Zakharova added.
