Over 4,300 Foreign Nationals to Be Deported from Russia as Part of Operation 'Illegal-2025'
According to Tatiana Petrova, head of the information and public relations department, the aim of the operation has been to uncover and prevent violations in the migration sector. She noted that through measures carried out in two phases, approximately 15,700 administrative violations have been identified, concerning breaches of rules regarding the stay and employment of foreign nationals.
Police have issued more than 10,000 reports under Article 18.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation (violation of stay rules in the RF) and around 2,100 reports under Article 18.10 (illegal employment). Additionally, over 1,600 reports have been filed against employers for the illegal engagement of foreign labor.
During the operation, 748 criminal cases have been initiated, most of which pertain to cases of false registration (Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code, 430 cases) and forgery of migration documents (Article 327 of the Criminal Code, 235 cases). Furthermore, 29 criminal cases have been registered for illegal drug trafficking, and 24 cases regarding other crimes committed by foreign nationals.
