Wales' Princess Wears Unique Tiara from Royal Collection
Wales' Princess Kate Middleton has once again captured attention by selecting a truly royal and rare jewel. She became the first person in nearly a century to wear the Strathmore Rose Tiara, an exceptional crown belonging to the royal collection.
The princess, now 43, donned the tiara at a state reception held at Buckingham Palace in honor of South Korea's state visit. This delicate and historic headpiece had not been worn for over 90 years, since the 1930s, marking a unique style statement for Kate Middleton.
She became the second person ever to wear the Strathmore Rose Tiara and just the fourth tiara she has worn during her royal engagements. The Strathmore Rose Tiara is adorned with five diamond roses arranged in an elegant floral design on a ribbon. The tiara originally belonged to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and is now regarded as one of the most valuable pieces of British royal heritage.
