Industry Volume to Increase in Armenia by 2026: Government Expects 4 Tons of Gold Production, Finance Minister Says
The volume of processed industry and mining industries in Armenia is expected to grow in 2026. This was announced by Finance Minister Vahe Hakobyan during a joint session of the permanent committees of the National Assembly, as part of the preliminary discussions on the 2026 state budget.
“Amulsar has its impact on this growth. We anticipate that in 2026, we will produce about 4 tons of gold. Total investments in the Amulsar mine's operational program will amount to approximately $750 million, of which $250 million will be allocated for the completion of construction and the commissioning of the mine,” the minister stated.
According to Hakobyan, the established reserves at the Amulsar mine amount to 73 tons of gold and 294 tons of silver. The final product will be an alloy of gold and silver, which is expected to promote an increase in exports and budget revenues.
