Forbidden Items and Drug-Like Substances Found on Inmate at Vardadzor Prison

Correctional facility staff have discovered a hidden phone, charging cable, playing cards, and substances resembling narcotics. During a personal search of an inmate at the Vardadzor penitentiary under the Ministry of Justice of Armenia, a large quantity of prohibited items and drug-like substances were found.

The individual returned from the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ijevan was searched using technical means, during which a hidden mobile phone with a SIM card and a charging cable were discovered inside a food container.

Additionally, greenish plant material weighing a total of 27.4 grams was found in the insoles of the inmate's shoes, along with a crystalline powder weighing 2.3 grams, and 34 factory-made playing cards. Necessary measures are being taken to determine the origin and circumstances of the prohibited items and substances.
