Papikyan on Military Deaths
The number of deaths in the army has significantly decreased in 2025. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, during a broadcast on Public TV.
“According to the latest data, there have been 5 deaths related to military service, one due to a lightning strike, one due to electric shock, 2 due to health issues, and one, unfortunately, a suicide,” Papikyan reported.
For comparison, he noted that there were 27 deaths related to military service recorded in 2024.
