Disgraced Father Aram Makes New Statement

Disgraced Father Aram has made a post on his Facebook page: "Dear faithful sisters and brothers, esteemed residents of Ohanavan, Ushi, and surrounding communities, appreciating your attitude towards the Truth, I ask that we together uphold the spiritual-prayer environment of St. John the Baptist Monastery, continue to visit St. John Monastery as pilgrims to bow before the relics of St. John the Baptist, and to meet together our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, from whom is our strength, assistance, and wisdom. Amen. Please remember me in your prayers."
Father Aram Asatryan, the spiritual leader of the monastery, reiterated his invitation for the community to attend the Divine Liturgy and receive the Holy Communion this Sunday, which he will officiate.
It is recalled that on October 21, under the Patriarchal supervision of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, Father Aram Asatryan was defrocked. The defrocked priest does not accept this decision. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has also expressed his support for the defrocked priest and informed that he too will participate in the Divine Liturgy officiated by him.
