Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry's Convincing Response on Postponement of OSCE Chair’s Visit
The Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry has explained the reason for the postponement of the OSCE Chair's visit to Azerbaijan. The head of the ministry's press service, Ayhan Hajiyev, informed APA that the regional visit of the OSCE Chair, Finland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen, was scheduled to begin in Azerbaijan.
“This visit was planned for October 13. However, the visit has been postponed due to the invitation extended to President Ilham Aliyev to participate in the Middle East Peace Summit and his delegation’s participation in that summit. Currently, work is underway to agree on a new date for the Finnish Foreign Minister's visit to Azerbaijan,” emphasized Hajiyev.
Additionally, it is noted that OSCE Chair Elina Valtonen met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan. Her visit to Georgia is also planned.
