Varazdat Lalayan Becomes World Champion
At the ongoing Weightlifting World Championships in Norway, Armenian national team member, super heavyweight Varazdat Lalayan has been crowned champion. Notably, he secured a small gold in the snatch event. In the clean and jerk, Lalayan also clinched a small gold, ultimately becoming the world champion in the combined lift.
It is worth mentioning that former member of the Armenian national team, now representing Bahrain, Gor Minasyan won a silver medal. He also received small silver medals in both the snatch and clean and jerk events.
