The Launch of Strategic Partnership Between Moscow and Iran
The comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between Russia and Iran has officially come into force, signed by Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“This event marks an important milestone in the history of Russian-Iranian interstate relations, which have reached a qualitatively new level of comprehensive strategic partnership. The document outlines the key benchmarks for bilateral cooperation in all priority areas in the long term,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the establishment of strategic partnership implies that Moscow and Tehran will strengthen their cooperation and coordination in the international arena, as well as their joint efforts aimed at enhancing stability and security in the region.
The agreement reflects the strategic choice of the highest political leadership of Russia and Iran in favor of further comprehensive strengthening of friendly and brotherly relations, which corresponds to the interests of the peoples of both states,” the Russian Foreign Ministry has emphasized.
