The Azerbaijani side has put forward a counter-list and conditions, demanding the release of two citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, Muhrab Muhammad al-Shkhri and Youssef Alabet al-Haji, who participated as mercenaries in the 44-day war, committed numerous killings against Armenian civilians, and were sentenced to life imprisonment in Armenia in 2021. According to the newspaper’s sources, Andranik Simonyan has agreed to comply with Azerbaijan's demands.
