The Image of Mount Ararat Will No Longer Be on Armenia's Entry or Exit Seal, Marukyan
According to a new decision by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, starting from November 1, 2025, the image of Mount Ararat will no longer be featured on the country's entry or exit seal. This was reported by Edmond Marukyan, a member of the National Assembly.
"The Republic of Armenia has never had territorial claims against Turkey and does not have them now. Armenia is a member of the UN, WTO, the Council of Europe, and numerous other organizations, and Turkey has never obstructed our membership with these claims; there have been no such demands from Turkey. Understand correctly, what is being done by our government has nothing to do with Armenia's nonexistent territorial claims against Turkey. All of this is simply part of the process of editing our state's identity," wrote Marukyan.
He noted that "in the next decision, the image of Mount Ararat will also be removed from the coat of arms." Along with the statement, Marukyan published a photo.
