Weather Outlook for Armenia in the Coming Days
The weather in the Republic of Armenia from August 5 to 9 is expected to be dry, without precipitation. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the report, the wind will be blowing from the southwest at a speed of 2-5 m/s. Until the evening of August 9, wind intensification is anticipated in Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn, with speeds of 15-18 m/s.
The air temperature is not expected to change significantly. "Due to the influx of tropical warm air from the south, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Vayotz Dzor, the valleys of Syunik, and Yerevan until August 9. During the afternoon hours between 16:00 and 17:00, temperatures are forecasted to reach +39...+41 degrees Celsius. A high fire danger situation is also expected in these areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk in the coming days," the report states.
In Yerevan, from August 5 to 9, dry weather is forecast. Wind intensification in the evening hours is expected to reach speeds of 14-18 m/s.
