Russia Has the Right to Take Appropriate Measures: Peskov on the Deployment of INF Missiles
Russia has the right to take appropriate measures for the deployment of intermediate and shorter-range missiles and is no longer constrained in this regard. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, as reported by TASS.
“Russia no longer has any limitations on this issue. Russia reserves the right, if necessary, to take appropriate measures and actions,” said the Kremlin spokesperson.
It is noteworthy that earlier, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement declaring that Russia no longer considers itself bound by the self-imposed restrictions on the deployment of intermediate and shorter-range missiles, and the conditions for maintaining that moratorium have elapsed. The diplomatic agency drew attention to the steps taken by the West in the area of INF proliferation, emphasizing that these pose a direct threat to the security of the Russian Federation.
