Peskov Calls US and EU Decisions Illegal
Demands to halt trade relations with Russia, presented by the West to various countries, are illegal. This statement was made by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
Earlier, the official representative of India's Ministry of External Affairs, Randhir Jaiswal, stated that his country considers the US and EU's attacks regarding the import of Russian oil unfounded and irrational, and will take measures to protect its interests and economic security.
“We hear numerous statements that are actually threats. We do not consider such statements legitimate,” Peskov said.
According to him, statements and threats from certain Western countries towards sovereign nations are attempts to force those states to cease trade relations with Russia.
Previously, Trump announced that he had received information that India intends to stop purchasing oil from Russia.
