Parliament Member on Recent Azerbaijani Gunfire
Following the gunfire directed at Armenian engineering equipment by Azerbaijan, many have been asking what Azerbaijan wants. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the "Honorary Title" parliamentary group, on his Facebook page.
"Azerbaijan is striving for superiority in all directions and positions. They are actively engaged in fortification work, but at certain intervals, they disrupt or obstruct the work of the Armenian side. Azerbaijan knows well what impudence it can resort to, what it can allow itself; the most it will get from the Pashinyan government is a call for an investigation or an exchange of evidence. Baku's actions do not always have deep-rooted objectives, but at a minimum, they assert themselves at Armenia's expense, maintain combat readiness, and I’m not even talking about the fact that whenever they seize the opportunity, they will inflict some harm on us," he wrote.
It is noteworthy that on August 4, at around 1:10 PM, units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire at an excavator working on the construction of inter-position roads located 4500 meters northeast of the Verishen community in the Syunik region.
