Fire in One of Yerevan’s Apartments: Residents Evacuated
On August 2, at 19:49, the National Crisis Management Center received a report of a fire that broke out in one of the apartments on Vilnius Street in Yerevan, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Three fire-rescue teams from the Yerevan rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been dispatched to the scene, along with the fire extinguishing and rescue operation organization division and the medical support duty groups. The fire was contained at 20:08 and extinguished at 20:19. The fire damaged furniture and equipment in the living room (approximately 10 sq. m), kitchen (approximately 5 sq. m), and balcony (approximately 5 sq. m). Rescuers evacuated around 50 residents from the building,” the statement said.
